General Warranty Terms
The warranty covers all products of the Excellent, Axel and Actima brands
1. Scope of application of the warranty
1.1. The guarantor of Excellent, Axel and Actima brand products is the manufacturer – Excellent S.A.
1.2. The warranty covers only products sold within the territory of the Republic of Poland and located within that territory during the warranty procedure.
1.3. The warranty covers the original purchaser of the product and may not be transferred.
1.4. The warranty on the sold product does not exclude, limit or suspend the buyer's rights under the statutory warranty set out in the provisions
of the Polish Civil Code.
2. Warranty declaration
2.1. The guarantor declares that the products have been approved for general use in construction in accordance with the necessary requirements.
2.2. The guarantor declares the products' conformity with their labelling and guarantees fitness for the intended use, provided that their installation and use comply with the rules and requirements set out in the General Warranty Terms and the Installation Instructions.
2.3. The guarantor is liable for product defects disclosed on receipt of the goods before installation or during use, resulting from manufacturing errors.
2.4. The guarantor declares that a defective product will be repaired free of charge or replaced by the manufacturer with the same product or another of similar value,
free from defects.
2.5. If the product is replaced with a new one or significant repairs are carried out, the warranty period starts running anew from the moment the defect-free item is delivered to the Customer.
2.6. In the case of minor product repairs, the warranty period is extended by the time during which the Customer was unable to use the product due to the defect.
2.7. The guarantor is not liable for defects resulting from installation, use and maintenance errors inconsistent with the manufacturer's instructions, or for mechanical damage to products collected from the seller or already installed. The buyer should inspect the product upon receipt. Once received, the product is deemed to have been delivered complete and in full working order. Installing the product confirms the absence of visible defects or incompleteness prior to installation.
2.8. The guarantor is not liable for unauthorised alterations or structural changes, or for faults in the water or electrical installation occurring during the warranty period.
2.9. The guarantor declares that the current General Warranty Terms are available to the Customer on the website www.excellent.com.pl and are sent by e-mail at the Customer's request.
3. Warranty period
3.1. Excellent acrylic bathtubs – the manufacturer provides a 20-year warranty on the colour stability of the acrylic (does not apply to freestanding bathtubs).
3.2. Excellent radiators – the manufacturer provides a 12-year warranty on the leak-tightness and powder coating of the radiators.
3.3. Excellent freestanding bathtubs – the manufacturer provides a 10-year warranty on the colour stability of the acrylic.
3.4. Excellent and Axel taps and fittings – the manufacturer provides:
3.4.1. a 10-year warranty on the durability of the faucet body casting.
3.4.2. a 5-year warranty on the correct operation of the mixer's ceramic cartridge.
3.4.3. a 5-year warranty on the chrome finish.
3.4.4. a 2-year warranty on the finish: matte black, matte white, glossy gold, brushed gold, brushed copper, brushed graphite
3.4.5. a 2-year warranty on the correct operation of the thermostatic cartridge.
3.4.6. a 2-year warranty on the remaining faucet components.
3.5. Actima taps and fittings - the manufacturer provides:
3.5.1. a 5-year warranty on the durability of the faucet body casting.
3.5.2. a 5-year warranty on the correct operation of the mixer's ceramic cartridge.
3.5.3. a 5-year warranty on the chrome finish.
3.5.4. a 2-year warranty on the correct operation of the thermostatic cartridge.
3.5.5. a 2-year warranty on the remaining faucet components.
3.6. Excellent bathroom drains – the manufacturer provides a 5-year warranty.
3.7. Excellent bathroom accessories – the manufacturer provides a 5-year warranty (does not apply to parts subject to natural wear during use).
3.8. Axel and Actima sanitary ware – the manufacturer provides a 5-year warranty on colour stability and factory defects (does not apply to the toilet seat, which carries a 2-year warranty).
3.9. Excellent and Axel shower enclosures and screens – the manufacturer provides a 5-year warranty (does not apply to parts subject to natural wear during use, such as: seals and the Clean Control and DSG coatings).
3.10. Actima shower enclosures and screens – the manufacturer provides a 2 + 3 year warranty, understood as a 2-year warranty followed by 3 further years of free replacement parts. The Customer covers only the cost of the service call, which can be ordered optionally (does not apply to parts subject to natural wear during use, such as: seals and the Clean Control and DSG coatings).
3.11. Hydromassage – the manufacturer provides a 2 + 3 year warranty, understood as a 2-year warranty followed by a further 3-year warranty on the water pumps and air turbines (does not apply to products installed as display units).
3.12. Excellent bathroom furniture – the manufacturer provides a 3-year warranty (covers technological defects such as: discolouration, surface flaking, delamination or deformation).
3.13. Excellent furniture fittings – the manufacturer provides a 5-year warranty.
3.14. Excellent bathroom mirrors - the manufacturer provides a 3-year warranty on mirrors with LED lighting and a 2-year warranty on framed mirrors without lighting.
3.15. Excellent electric heating elements – the manufacturer provides a 2-year warranty.
3.16. Excellent radiator valves – the manufacturer provides a 3-year warranty.
3.17. Shiro concealed WC frames – the manufacturer provides a 10-year warranty (covers: the frame, cistern and concealed flush mechanism).
3.18. Flaro concealed WC frames – the manufacturer provides a 10-year warranty (covers: the frame, cistern) and a 5-year warranty (flush plate mechanisms). The remaining parts are covered by a 3-year warranty period.
3.19. Shower trays - the manufacturer provides

3.19.2. Lavano shower trays - 5-year warranty
3.19.3. Forma, Sense shower trays - 3-year warranty
3.19.4. Zero shower trays - 20 years on the coating
3.20. Other products and spare parts – the manufacturer provides a 2-year warranty.

4. Warranty rules
4.1. A warranty claim is submitted by the buyer entitled under the proof of purchase.
4.2. The buyer should report any detected defects immediately after they are discovered, especially where damage could occur.
4.3. The guarantor will respond to the warranty claim within 14 days of receiving it and will make every effort to remedy the defect efficiently and promptly, provided the claim is deemed justified.
4.4. The warranty period specified in the "Warranty period" section always begins on the date of purchase confirmed by the proof of purchase.
4.5. The guarantor decides how the complaint is to be handled. In the event the complaint is accepted, the guarantor undertakes to repair the defective product free of charge or replace it with a defect-free one within a period agreed with the buyer.
4.6. The buyer should deliver or send the defective product suitably protected against damage during transport.
4.7. The guarantor does not reimburse costs not agreed with the guarantor and incurred by the buyer, in particular the costs of removal, delivery, labour, materials and reinstallation.
4.8. When a product or its components are replaced, all replaced parts become the property of the guarantor.
4.9. For the purposes of the faucet body warranty, the main part of the device is defined as the single casting on which
the remaining components are based.
4.10. The guarantor's liability for remedying product defects may not exceed the purchase value of the goods.
4.11. The guarantor's liability for products or their components whose replacement does not require specialist knowledge or tools will be handled without a visit from a specialist installer.
In such cases, the specified products or components will be sent free of charge to the address indicated by the Customer (applies to: rainshower heads, shower hoses, faucet controls, toilet seats, toilet seat hinges, bathtub plugs, etc.).
4.12. Before submitting a complaint, the buyer should check whether the defect is not the result of faulty installation, improper storage, use or maintenance of the product.
4.13. The complainant should make the claimed goods available to the guarantor's representative for inspection at an agreed time.
5. Exclusions from the guarantor's warranty liability
5.1. Defects resulting from random events and natural disasters.
5.2. Immaterial defects, i.e. those that remain invisible after the product is installed and do not affect its functional value.
5.3. Natural wear and tear of the product during use, e.g. replacement of seals, replacement of aerators,
lubrication of guide rollers, etc.
5.4. Purchase of a product with reduced value sold at a discounted price.
5.5. Products installed in places of public use and used for a purpose other than individual use.
5.6. Defects resulting from installation inconsistent with the instructions and good building practice, and inconsistent with the intended purpose, including the use of unsuitable equipment or materials.
5.7. Mechanical damage caused by the user or third parties.
5.8. Damage and defects arising during transport, handling or as a result of improper storage.
5.9. Surface damage due to causes beyond the manufacturer's control (in particular, failure to follow the product maintenance instructions by using unsuitable care products, cleaning with powder or agents containing acid, solvents, chlorine, strong alkalis and detergents, etc.).
5.10. Defects caused by inadequate water quality and limescale deposits, including damage to strainers, aerators, diverters or
mixing cartridges.
5.11. Defects resulting from inadequate protection of the product during construction works.
Products submitted under a complaint must be clean, and their hygienic and sanitary condition must be good.
