API documentation describing the channels for exchanging product data with Excellent, including Rest API, Baselinker and CSV files
Overview of available channels.
Excellent offers three main channels for exchanging product data with customer systems, providing flexibility and adaptability to different integration needs. Below is a detailed description of each solution.
1. Rest API
- Access to data via the Rest API is secured by a login and password mechanism, which guarantees confidentiality and security.
- Due to additional sensitive data – individual customer prices, discounts, and potentially real-time stock levels – access requires authorisation.
- An ideal solution for customers who want to integrate their systems (ERP, CRM, e-commerce platforms) with our product database on a continuous basis and with access to the most up-to-date information.
2. Baselinker
- Integration with the Baselinker platform enables easy exchange of basic product data, such as catalogue prices, descriptions, images and stock levels.
- Data is synchronised once a day, ensuring the basic information is up to date.
- A convenient solution for Baselinker users managing the Excellent offer alongside other sales channels.
3. CSV file
- A data export is available in CSV (Comma Separated Values) file format.
- This format is a simple and universal way to import data into most systems and spreadsheets.
- The CSV file contains public product information (names, descriptions, codes, catalogue prices), generated once a day.
It works well for one-off or recurring manual data downloads and imports into your own tools.
The choice of the appropriate data exchange channel depends on individual needs and technical capabilities. To gain access or for more information, please contact the Technical Department or your Excellent Sales Representative.
